Many teams’ best ideas as well as their worst failures come from conflict. This program explores the origins and challenges of team conflict. It will investigate how to create the right climate for getting the best out of conflict while at the same time avoiding its harmful aspects. Once the right climate is established, it is necessary to use constructive communications techniques to successfully resolve conflicts. We will look at the types of constructive behaviors that are most effective. We will also look at special cases involving distributed teams.
